When Tended
A downloadable game
You are a household plant. You have an nice pot, fertile soil, and the right amount of light. But you don’t understand those words, because you are a plant. You only know that this is nice. You have room to grow.
This game is designed to be played once a day, a few minutes at a time, and over several weeks. When you (as the player) choose to play, this means you (as your character of the plant) have been tended to.
Each day, you will doodle in one section of the illustration on the back. Afterwards, you consult the Growth Experience table for the sensations corresponding to the part you doodled in. Take on the role of the plant, and play by channeling those sensations for however long you wish.
Variations are included to customize and tend to your play experience.
This game was designed for the One-Page RPG Jam 2025. Special thanks to the participants of the Flux Theatre Ensemble developmental retreat for playtesting and feedback.
